  For large-format banners exposed to wind, we recommend Mesh Banners. Their open mesh structure reduces wind load and makes them ideal for façades, scaffolding, construction fences and other large advertising surfaces.
  
  If light must not pass through the material, Blockout Banners are the perfect solution. Their black backing prevents show-through and ensures maximum visibility of the printed graphics.
  
  If you need advertising messages on one or both sides, we recommend Double-Sided Blockout Banners. The black core prevents graphics from showing through and allows different designs to be printed on each side.

• Which banner material is the best choice for my project?
  Choosing the right banner material mainly depends on where, how long and under which conditions your banner will be used. Different materials vary in terms of price, durability, wind resistance, light-blocking properties, fire certification and finishing options.
  
  For short-term advertising campaigns, club events or temporary signage, we recommend Budget PVC Banners. If your banner is intended for longer-term use or needs to withstand higher levels of wear and tear, Classic PVC Banners are an excellent choice.
  
  For large-format advertising in windy locations, such as building façades or scaffolding, Mesh Banners are the ideal solution. Their open mesh structure reduces wind load while maintaining excellent visibility.
  
  If light must not pass through the material, for example in shop windows, roll-up displays or suspended installations, we recommend Blockout Banners. For advertising messages printed on one or both sides, Double-Sided Blockout Banners with a black opaque core provide the best solution.

• Are banners suitable for outdoor use?
  Yes. Most banners offered by Flyerline are specifically designed for outdoor use. However, the most suitable material depends on the expected service life, the installation location and environmental conditions such as wind, rain and direct sunlight.
  
  For short-term advertising campaigns, events or temporary signage, we recommend Budget PVC Banners. Their water-resistant PVC material makes them ideal for temporary outdoor applications.
  
  If your banner is intended for long-term outdoor use, Classic PVC Banners are the best choice. Their durable PVC material is ideal for façade advertising, sponsorship banners, construction sites and permanent outdoor displays.

• Do banners have a fire safety certification?
  Not all banners have the same fire safety certification. The appropriate material depends on the intended application as well as the fire safety requirements for public buildings, exhibition halls, shopping centres, event venues and other public spaces.
  
  Flyerline offers both non-fire-rated banner materials and B1-certified banner solutions. Cost-effective materials are ideal for temporary advertising and many outdoor applications, while B1-certified materials are recommended for numerous indoor installations and locations where fire safety regulations apply.
  
  Depending on the product, Classic PVC Banners, Mesh Banners and our various Blockout Banner solutions are available with B1 fire certification. The applicable fire classification is listed in the technical specifications of each individual product.
  
  If your banner will be installed in an exhibition hall, shopping centre, public building or event venue and you are unsure which fire safety requirements apply, our customer service team will be happy to help you choose the most suitable material for your project.
• What banner sizes can I order?
  At Flyerline, all banners are produced to your exact dimensions. In our online shop, you can simply enter your required width and height and receive an instant price calculation.
  
  The maximum available size depends on the selected banner material and is shown on each individual product page. Thanks to our custom production, our banners are suitable for everything from small advertising signs to large façade banners, scaffold banners, construction fence banners and other XXL advertising applications.
  
  If your required size cannot be configured directly in the online shop, our team will be happy to help. Many banner materials can also be produced in significantly larger sizes or professionally manufactured from multiple joined sections.
  
  We also offer custom sizes, large-scale projects, bulk orders and tailored solutions for resellers, agencies, sign makers, exhibition builders and corporate customers through our customer service team.
• Are the banners water-resistant and weatherproof?
  Yes. Most Flyerline banners are manufactured from water-resistant materials and are specifically designed for outdoor use. Rain, moisture and normal weather conditions generally do not affect the print quality or the material itself.
  
  The most suitable banner material depends on the intended service life, the installation location and environmental influences such as wind, sunlight and mechanical stress. Cost-effective PVC materials are ideal for temporary applications, while more durable banner materials are recommended for long-term installations or demanding environments. Mesh banners are the preferred choice for windy locations, whereas Blockout banners provide additional protection against light show-through.
  
  Choosing the right finishing option is equally important. Depending on the product, various mounting options such as eyelets or hemming are available to ensure secure installation.

• What finishing options are available for banners?
  Depending on the product, different finishing options are available to ensure that your banner is perfectly prepared for its intended application.
  
  Currently, the following finishing options are available, depending on the selected product:
  
  * Cut to size
  * Hemming with eyelets in the corners
  * Hemming with eyelets every 50 cm
  * Hemming with eyelets every 20 cm
  
  The most suitable finishing option depends on how and where your banner will be installed. For smaller banners, eyelets in the corners are often sufficient, while larger banners usually benefit from additional eyelets to ensure better load distribution and more secure mounting.
  
  Our product range is continuously being expanded and additional finishing options will be introduced step by step. If you require a finishing option that is not currently available in the online shop, our customer service team will be happy to assist you with a customised solution.
• How quickly are banners produced and delivered?
  Production and delivery times depend on the selected product, quantity and finishing options. During the online configuration process, you will see the estimated delivery date before completing your order.
  
  Many banners can be produced and delivered within just a few working days. Larger formats, special finishing options or customised projects may require additional production time.
  
  If you have a fixed deadline or require express production, our customer service team will be happy to help you find the best solution and check the available production options.
• Can I order custom sizes or special formats that are not available in the online shop?
  Yes. Our online shop already offers a wide range of customisable banner sizes. Depending on the product, you can enter your required width and height directly online and order your banner exactly to your specifications.
  
  If your required size cannot be configured in the online shop, it may still be possible to produce it. Depending on the selected material, significantly larger formats, custom sizes and special production options are available.
  
  We also support large-volume orders, multi-site rollouts, exhibition projects, as well as customised solutions for resellers, agencies, sign makers and corporate customers.
  
  If your required size or configuration is not available online, our customer service team will be happy to prepare a tailored quotation and help you find the best solution for your project.
• Are the banners recyclable?
  Yes. Many of the banner materials used by Flyerline are recyclable. However, the recycling process depends on the construction and composition of the selected material.
  
  Some banner materials consist of a single material and can therefore be recycled more easily after use. Others are made from multiple layers or combined materials, making the recycling process more complex.
  
  Information about the recyclability of each material is provided on the respective product page, helping you choose the most suitable solution for your project.

• How do I install a banner correctly?
  Correct installation ensures that your banner is securely mounted and remains stable even in windy or challenging weather conditions. The most suitable mounting method depends on the installation location, banner size and selected finishing option.
  
  For most applications, we recommend hemming with eyelets. Depending on the product, you can choose eyelets in the corners or eyelets spaced every 20 cm or 50 cm to ensure secure installation on façades, construction fences, scaffolding, fences and other structures.
  
  For installation, we recommend using cable ties, which are available directly from our online shop. They provide a quick, simple and reliable way to mount banners, especially on construction fences, crowd barriers and wire fences.
  
  If you require a specific mounting solution or finishing option, our customer service team will be happy to help you find the most suitable solution.
• What is looked at during the data check?
  As a Flyerline customer, you have the option of selecting a basic data check or a professional data check for each printed product you configure. The basic data check is free of charge. The professional data check is subject to a service fee of CHF 15 plus VAT.
  
  Basic data check
  The basic data check is always free; during this check, any print data you uploaded is checked according to the following criteria:
  • correct data format in line with our specifications – preferably in .pdf, .jpg, .eps or .tiff format
  • adequate resolution for a perfect print result
  • correct document format incl. sufficient bleed
  • review of tolerance ranges, especially to ensure that there is sufficient space between design elements and the edge of the product, the folded edge, creases, perforations and hole punches, etc.
  • correct number of pages
  • embedded fonts
  • whether the data contains errors or is password protected
  • automatic conversion of print data to CMYK if a different colour space has been defined. Of course, this excludes print data created for a print using spot colours (e.g. Pantone).
  
  Professional data check
  The professional data check is subject to charge (CHF 15); during this check, any print data you uploaded is checked according to the following criteria:
  • any colour shifts that could arise through the conversion of print files to the CMYK colour space.
  • correct overprint setting
  • font sizes and styles
  • correctly indicated dielines
  • fold type and position for folded flyers
  • correct sequence if page numbers are used
  • clean transition in two-page layouts
  • perforated lines correctly indicated
  • correct positioning of hole punch markings for custom hole punching
  • correct data for partial varnish application
  • proof sent by e-mail to the customer for approval
  
  If our data check reveals errors in the print data, you will be sent an e-mail notification with a description of the error(s). Your order will be put on hold until we receive corrected print data or you have granted us print approval. Error-free print data is sent directly into production; you are not notified of this unless you ordered a proof.
• What is a construction fence banner used for?
  Construction fence banners turn construction fences, mobile fences and temporary barriers into large-format advertising surfaces. They're ideal for construction site advertising, sponsor branding, privacy screens, real estate promotion and temporary outdoor advertising. The standard 340 × 173 cm format fits common construction fence panels, and mounting takes just a few minutes.
• Which material suits your use case best?
  Mesh (270 g/m²) is the top choice for exposed locations with high wind loads. PVC (510 g/m²) is the robust all-rounder for classic outdoor construction site advertising. ProPES Outdoor stands out with its textile look, is PVC-free and sustainable. ProPES FR is the right choice when fire safety regulations apply – for example at indoor exhibitions or events.
• How is the banner attached to the construction fence?
  The banner is attached with cable ties or tension cords through the metal eyelets directly to the fence panel. Thanks to eyelets every 50 cm, it stays wrinkle-free and tensions evenly. No tools required for mounting.
• Does the 340 × 173 cm format fit every construction fence element?
  This dimension matches the widespread standard for mobile fence elements in Switzerland and across Europe. On most common construction fence systems the banner fits exactly. We recommend measuring your fence before ordering if it comes from a specialty supplier. Custom formats are available on request.
• How many eyelets does a banner have?
  For a 340 × 173 cm format with eyelets every 50 cm, you get approximately 20 metal eyelets all around. This allows you to securely fix the banner and tension it evenly.
• Which materials are fire-rated?
  Mesh (B-s1, d0), PVC (B-s2, d0) and ProPES FR (B-s1, d0) meet the EN-13501-1 classification for hard-to-ignite materials. They are therefore suitable for events and venues with fire safety requirements. ProPES Outdoor is not fire-certified.
• Are the banners also suitable for indoor use?
  Yes. Mesh, ProPES Outdoor and ProPES FR work both indoors and outdoors. For indoor applications with fire safety requirements, ProPES FR is the first choice. PVC is also technically possible but is typically used outdoors.
• How long does a construction fence banner last outdoors?
  Mesh and PVC are designed for a service life of 2–5 years. ProPES Outdoor reaches up to 2 years outdoors. ProPES FR is primarily designed for indoor applications and can be used outdoors for short periods.
• Can I clean the banner?
  ProPES Outdoor and ProPES FR are washable – a clear advantage over classic PVC. Clean mesh and PVC best with a damp cloth and mild detergent. This extends the service life and preserves the print quality.
• How fast will my banner be delivered?
  We produce and deliver within 5 working days as standard. With the Express option, production time is reduced by one additional working day. You'll see the estimated dispatch date directly in the shop during configuration.
