Closed Z-fold Flyers
Print affordable closed fanfold flyers
Closed fanfold flyers, also known as closed Z-fold or concertina folded flyers, live up to their name by virtue of a special type of fold: “Fanfold” is the name of a folding method in which the folds are positioned parallel to one other. The effect is created when the flyer is folded in alternating directions. This type of fold produces several different pages where you can present information in an appealing way and break it down by topic. It is folded 4 times, resulting in a total of 12 pages, with the front page acting as a hinged cover and enclosing all the others. Our folded flyers can also be printed on uncoated and recycled paper.
- DIN A6/5 format
- 12-page Z-fold flyer
- Four-colour printing in CMYK (also called Euroscale)
- Different versions available
- Available in print runs starting at 50
An alternative version of the closed Z-fold flyer is the Z-fold flyer with 2 folds, also called a fanfold or concertina fold.
Frequently asked questions
Can I also order products that are not included in the standard product range?Yes. Flyerline Schweiz AG is capable of providing you with nearly any conceivable printed product. We have one of the most extensive, state-of-the-art pools of printing and processing equipment in Switzerland. If you don’t see the product you want in our standard range, please use the contact form to send us your request. Our Sales team will be happy to prepare an attractive, customised quote.
How quickly can Flyerline deliver?Delivery times vary depending on the specific product and print run. We always make every effort to produce and deliver your printed matter as quickly as possible. We generally need 2-5 working days, depending on the product. When you place your order, we offer a “Rush” option for most products that generally ensures you expedited production and a turnaround time of one working day. The actual time required for production and the expected shipping date can always be found in our shop, right by the configured print product.
How should I deliver my print data?Ideally, we recommend that you send us a print file with a resolution of 300 dpi in CMYK colour mode (colour profile: Euroscale ISO coated, v3) and a bleed of 3 mm. The data formats that work best are .pdfx1, .pdfx3 and .pdfx4 as well as .tiff and .jpg for picture files. For detailed information, please refer to our “Data Delivery Tips”. You will find this document and the corresponding product data sheet both in our Download Centre and by the product in question.
What does 4/0 or 4/4 mean?4/0 colour means: printed in four colours on one side (full colour)
4/4 colour means: printed in four colours on both sides (full colour)
Can I also send Office files to Flyerline?Yes. But since Office files cannot be processed for professional printing, we first have to convert them into printable files. We charge a conversion fee of CHF 25 per file and page.
What is CMYK?Cyan, magenta and yellow are the primary colours used for subtractive colour mixing. Black (K) is added because the primary colours are unable to produce a pure black. CMYK is the colour space required for printing. All masters are converted into CMYK files if they are not delivered in CMYK format.
My file is in RGB mode. Will that work too?Yes. We convert the data into CMYK. This could result in slight variations in colour, especially in the case of extremely bright colours, since we do not know what colour was originally used and RGB documents look different on every screen. If you provide us with print data in RGB mode, we recommend selecting the “Proof” option.
What is bleed? The bleed is the area of the print data that extends beyond the normal edge. Bleeds are necessary because printing machines work within a certain tolerance range and the paper can shift slightly during printing. Please create print files that have a 3 mm bleed on each edge.
Wide range of uses
Closed fanfold flyers have pages folded in alternating directions, thus creating the characteristic zigzag-like fold that lends the flyer its many very descriptive names: Z-fold, fanfold and concertina folded flyer. Not only do folded flyers produced using the Z-fold method make an unmistakably unique impression, they also offer ample space for promotional messages and other information. If you’re looking to display a lot of information about your products and services on a traditional flyer, two pages frequently aren’t enough. Our Z-fold flyers, on the other hand, give you enough space for detailed product and service descriptions on a maximum of 12 pages. Popular uses include:
- Advertising media at trade fairs
- Displays at points of sale (POS)
- Mailing inserts
- Mini-brochures for company and product presentations
- Menus in the catering/restaurant business and delivery services
Closed Z-fold flyers with 4 folds have a flat size of 622 x 210 mm and a finished size of 105 x 210 mm (DIN long).
Grammages, paper type, material
Folded flyers can be printed on several different types of paper including illustration printing paper, uncoated paper, offset paper and recycled paper. Each type of paper comes in different grammages, which can be selected directly in the configurator.
Number of pages
Flyers with 4 folds have 12 pages.
Flyerline Schweiz AG uses the CMYK 4-colour model for printing (also referred to as Euroscale). Any special or RGB colours contained in the files will be converted to CMYK.
Our folded flyers can be ordered in print runs starting at 50 copies and are also available in large-scale print runs.
