You return full bags to an increasing number of collection points in retail, municipalities and private recycling centres. You choose size and quantity directly in the configurator.

What is a RecyBag collection bag?

RecyBag is the official collection bag of the RecyPac system. It is used to collect plastic packaging and beverage cartons separately before they are returned to an official collection point. You can find more information at recybag.ch.
Which sizes are available?

RecyBag collection bags are available in 17, 35, 60 and 110 litres. This means there is a suitable option for small households, families and larger collection volumes.
How many bags are included on one roll?

One roll contains ten RecyBag collection bags of the same size.
Why do RecyBag collection bags have to be purchased?

The purchase price finances the collection, transport, sorting and recycling of plastic packaging and beverage cartons. RecyPac is a non-profit organisation and operates the system according to the cost-recovery principle.
What belongs in the RecyBag?

The RecyBag is intended for completely emptied plastic packaging and beverage cartons, such as Tetra Pak cartons. This includes, among other things, plastic bottles for cosmetics, detergents and cleaning products, plastic cups and trays, tubes, films, bags, sacks, pouches and beverage cartons. The packaging does not need to be washed. Emptying it completely is sufficient. You can find more information at recybag.ch.
What does not belong in the RecyBag?

PET beverage bottles in particular do not belong in the RecyBag, nor do materials for which separate collection or disposal systems are available. If in doubt, please refer to RecyPac’s current sorting guidelines.
Can I put dirty packaging in the RecyBag?

Packaging does not need to be rinsed, but it should be completely emptied. Packaging containing larger amounts of residue should not be placed in the collection bag.
Where can I return a full RecyBag?

Full RecyBags can be returned to official RecyBag collection points. Depending on the region, these may include participating retail stores, municipal recycling centres and private recycling centres. As the network is being expanded gradually, it is advisable to check RecyPac’s current list of collection points before returning your bags.
Can I continue to use old Bring-Plastic-Back bags?

Existing Bring-Plastic-Back collection bags can continue to be filled and returned to RecyBag collection points. According to RecyPac, bags already in circulation remain valid indefinitely.
Can I use RecyBag bags without a collection box?

Yes. A box is not required for plastic collection. However, a suitable collection box keeps the bag open, provides greater stability and helps keep the collection area tidy.
How many rolls can I order?

RecyBag collection bags can be ordered from one roll containing ten bags up to 100 rolls per order.

The RecyBag plastic collection bags are the official collection bags of the RecyPac system. You collect all plastic packaging and beverage cartons from household, office or business use – and return full bags to an increasing number of collection points in Swiss retail, in municipalities with a concession and at private recycling centres.

What can go into the RecyBag collection bag?

All used plastic packaging and beverage cartons go into the RecyBag:

Beverage cartons: e.g. Tetra Pak of fruit juices, milk and dairy products
Plastic bottles: e.g. of cosmetics, cleaning and laundry products, fertiliser, sauces, vinegar, oil
Pouches: e.g. of bake-off bread, liquid soap, coffee, nuts, chips, toast bread
Films: e.g. of vegetables, salad, tofu, magazines as well as bubble wrap, transparent and six-pack films
Bags and sachets: shopping bags, mesh bags
Cups: e.g. of cherry tomatoes, drinks, ice cream, yogurt
Trays: e.g. of eggs, meat, biscuits, cheese, fruit, ready meals and takeaway dishes
Tubes: e.g. of cosmetics, sunscreen, toothpaste
Other packaging: printer cartridges, office supplies, dishwasher tablets

Important: empty is enough – packaging doesn't need to be cleaned.

Formerly «Bring Plastic Back» – now RecyBag by RecyPac

Anyone who's been collecting plastic packaging in Switzerland over the past few years knows the Bring Plastic Back bags. In 2025, the Bring Plastic Back system was replaced by RecyPac and developed, together with other actors in the value chain, into the unified Swiss solution for plastic and beverage carton recycling.

The RecyBag collection bag is the direct successor to the Bring Plastic Back bag – with the same collection purpose, identical content range, but broader sponsorship and a growing number of return points.
